Dear Weld RE-4 Families:

As many of you are aware, this Thursday and Friday multiple districts will need to close schools as teachers plan to bring awareness to state education funding challenges by walking out.  We want to assure you that we are planning to maintain a normal schedule this week. All schools in our district will be open. We want to extend our appreciation to our staff who are prioritizing student learning and ensuring instruction is not disrupted. Our district recognizes the need to bring Colorado education funding more in line with other states around the country, which would allow us to increase opportunities for our students, staff, and community.

Our staff are grateful for the support you show them on a daily basis. We are fortunate to have a community that values education. We are so appreciative of the local support we receive and all that our community has done and continues to do every day for our students and teachers. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Dan Seegmiller
Weld RE-4 School District Superintendent
