2017-2018 Enrollment Information

As part of our enrollment process for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year, the Weld RE-4 School District is offering a developmental screening for children ages 0-5. This screening is held to provide developmental information to families, to help determine eligibility for the Colorado Preschool Program and/or identify preschoolers that may need further testing to determine if they require special education services. The screening includes a check of vision/hearing and assessment of developmental and speech/language skills. The screening is in two parts. First, a vision and hearing check, and second, the developmental screening (the vision/hearing check must be done prior to the developmental screening). Listed below are the dates:

         Vision/Hearing                             January 23, 2017

         Developmental Screening           February 13, 2017

Even if you do not plan on having your child enter preschool in the Fall,

these screenings are open to any parent who would be interested in

finding out their child’s developmental skills.

To schedule an appointment or if you have questions call 686-8010.

Tuition Preschool:
If you are interested in having your child attend one of our preschools through a tuition slot, please fill out the "Intent to Enroll" form at the bottom of this page and return it to Andrea Larson. You can either turn it in to the District Office or send via email (Andrea.Larson@weldre4.org). Preschool classrooms are located at Tozer Primary, Grandview Elementary, Range View Elementary and at Skyview Elementary.

Each class is staffed by a certified teacher and a para-professional.  We maintain an 1:8 teacher to child ratio in each class that has CPP students and a 1:10 ratio in our classrooms with tuition students and special education students only.  Our program is an integrated program and each class has some students with special needs and students who attend under the Colorado Preschool Program. Each class has an opportunity to access the school library, participates in a large motor activities and group language activities daily.  Speech/Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and other related service personnel provide services to special needs students within the classrooms.

Children participate in a curriculum that offers rich experiences to help them develop their social, communication, cognitive, self help, fine and gross motor skills as well as opportunities that help support pre-readiness skills for Kindergarten.  We use nationally recognized Creative Curriculum GOLD widely regarded as a forward-thinking, comprehensive, rigorously researched curriculum approach that honors creativity and respects the role that teachers play in making learning exciting and relevant to every child as well as Preschool Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS), Hand Writing Without Tears, Second Steps and Zoophonics in each classroom.

Preschool classes are held Tuesday through Friday.
The start and finish times for preschool align with half day kindergarten  for each school.

There are also two day a week classes for young three year old special education students.  These classes are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:05 - 11:05.

Tuition for the 2016-2017 school year is $325 per month.  This is subject to change per board approval yearly.
